Moisture. Let's talk about it

Moisture problems are a mere nightmare, there is no other way to put it. Anyone who has ever suffered from moisture can agree on that. If the sealing work is not 100% perfect, it is a matter of time before problems will occur. It is very important to supervise the sealing work during renovation or construction. If trouble has already befallen you, and all your attempts to get rid of moisture have failed (silicones, sealers, drains, negative side waterproofing, plaster partitions to hide the dampness, etc... etc... etc...), then a thorough work must be done.

In this house that suffered from moisture for years, the owners decided to solve the problem once and for all by:

- removing the old flooring

- dismantling the first row of stones around the square in order to attach the sealant to the wall

- changing the slopes under the flooring and rounding the corners of the square

- changing the location of the drains

- sealing with bituminous sheets (double layer)

- executing a flood test over the weekend

- reflooring

- and of course we didn't give up on double drainage under the floor!

Lastly, we cannot but draw your attention to the stunning stone-like tiles that the homeowners chose, which greatly upgraded the entrance.
